Welcome to Jungle At Home. I'm Reese and this is my virtual haven to be filled with my thoughts and reflections on life as a believer and follower of Christ, as a homemaker trying to make our home full of love, as a devoted wife who vowed to serve my husband, and a passionate mother of two kids whom I shall call the jewels of my life.
Why Jungle At Home, you wonder. I used the title as a reminder of my deep love for nature being the most wonderful creation God has ever made. I've been climbing mountains here in the Philippines in my youth and have witnessed how majestic the hands of God are. As for our home, which is likewise wonderfully handcrafted by Him, despite its jungle-like messes, is filled with love and warmth by the creatures inhabiting it.
I am a sinful being, saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ for almost two decades. I have married the man of my dreams and been together for almost seventeen years. He is a different believer yet we have found unity in diversity. It is quite challenging yet exciting. And I thinks it is just what the world needs.
I have a degree in hotel and restaurant and I just realize how vital it is now that I am a homemaker. It is not a prerequisite to being one but I say it helps a whole lot. I would say theories taught in school are very far from reality though and homemaking is indeed harder than it seems to be. Even harder when you do it all alone, being hands-on to everything around the house. And it can be quite exhausting at times. But I honestly, truthfully enjoy it. To serve and meet every need of our family is what I will call my vocation..."and I am one of the few who were called to this."
